Rig has a sort of a box game which has all these small parts with textured images on them which can be used to put together to make a castle. One can make thousands of different castles and Rig has been doing that for some time now. Today he used the texture pieces and made 9 tower like things(pins) and out of some smaller pieces he made a ball. Then he arranged the pins neatly and made his own Bowling Alley!

Rigved came and asked me what was my favorite game when I was a kid. I said, Football…. he quickly replied, “Mine is Stop n Party!” He seems to have taken a liking to this game which is a glorified version of Hide n Seek.
These days he is at home due to Diwali vacation. He plays a lot(mostly Stop n Party) and to add to his excitement, Mohit(his holiday buddy who lives in Dombivli) has come over too. They play the PS2 during the afternoon and Stop n Party in the evening. Rigved has bruised himself in several places. Especially on the day of Diwali, a burning carbon remains of a firecracker got stuck in his sandal and he cried out loud. Me and Banda were with him when this happened, so we quickly got him home and applied some Burnol. In 15 minutes he went back to play Stop n Party.

Today after coming home from school, we removed the 2 balance wheels on Rigved’s cycle. He was asking for this since some time now and we were waiting for the rains to go away and the rains obliged. We went to Krishna(Rig’s younger friend a.k.a vegetation) and got a tool to remove the wheels. We removed one first and it turned out that did not make any difference so we removed both of them. Rigved easily managed to ride on straight roads. The turns were a bit challenging but he managed quite a lot of them. He was very very pleased with the whole exercise and he noticed that the cycle is much faster now as there is no friction applied due to the extra wheels.

Right now Rigved and Banda are watching Takeshi´s Castle on Pogo. These days their taste in television programming seems to be merging.
Yesterday, Rigved played a pretty difficult level of Age of Empires and won. After the game he started playing the game with his blocks and the knights, pawns etc from Chess. He built his own castles, enemy castles, soldiers, horsemen, armies and fought a great battle. Needless to say, the white chess pieces were his army. The war went on for around 2 hours in the afternoon while Banda took a nap. All this took place so silently that it would be impossible for the onlooker to believe that there is a war going on!
Rigved draws elephants like no one in the world. He had stopped doing that for some time. Today out of a sudden he worked on a little surprise for me and handed it over. It was a small booklet made out of white note papers with elephant drawings in them.
