Rigved

Yesterday, a temp teacher came to Rigved’s class. She was talking about butterflies when she asked if anybody knew what a butterfly or even a mosquito uses to suck something out? Rigved raised his hand and said “Proboscis”. The teacher was really surprised and honestly so was I.

Rigved pleasantly surprises his class teacher by understanding meanings of words that are not yet introduced to 8 year olds. He can do this because he is a voracious reader. He must have read at least 500 story books till now! He also seems to use a different kind of logic for certain things. Once he asked his friend, “Can you quickly tell me what is 365 + 365?” The friend was obviously not sure as he was an 8 year old boy too. Rigved quickly said, “The answer is 2 years!”
